Research Administration Programs
RAA is the beginning certification program for those involved in grant management. It is designed to provide basic knowledge of core principles of research administration.

Requirement
Required for RACI classified job descriptions
The AGM program is for those who have completed the Research Administration Academy (RAA) and have 3 or more years of experience in grants management.

Required for select RACI classified jobs descriptions, and for tier advancement for others
The RAI-LS program is designed for senior-level grant managers. The program centers on communication, management and supervision skills, along with case studies specific to research administration.
Time Commitment
Participation in a minimum number of monthly seminars to complete and/or retain certification

Finance Certification Programs
The Financial Systems Specialist certification is designed for Duke employees for whom the use of such systems is central to the successful fulfillment of job responsibilities. This program, with a significant focus on key technology applications, will develop a highly-qualified user of Duke primary financial systems, promote broader understanding of financial responsibilities, enhance the ability to ensure financial compliance with established policies and procedures, and provide a credential recognized and respected throughout the Duke community.
This program is designed for those individuals who are payroll representatives or backup payroll representatives and who are interested in advancing their professional growth and development. Comprehensive training will teach specific skills and techniques, improve job performance, minimize mistakes, bolster compliance measures, and provide a credential recognized and respected within the Duke community.
This program is designed for those individuals who are their department's accounts payable representative, the backup accounts payable representative or those who have significant responsibilities within their department involving the procurement and payment for goods and services and who are interested in advancing their professional growth and development. Comprehensive training will teach specific skills and techniques, improve job performance, minimize mistakes, bolster compliance measures, and provide a credential recognized and respected within the Duke community.
This program is designed for those individuals who are their department's TRaC Representative, backup TRaC Representative, or expense delegates interested in advancing their professional growth and development.
